It amazes me that one font can be so recognizable and used for years! Disneyland was first opened it 1955 and guessing by the price on the ticket, I would think that this ticket book would be around that same time frame. SO much has changed since then. Not only is there a second park next to disneyland but it is $100 to go for ONE day. Compare that to 3.20! Although that is different the font they used for Disneyland is still the same on the ticket you get today. This is one out of two signature disney fonts. They haven’t changed it since then either. This font is Disney’s personality and although it is not owned by Disney, it will always be associated with it. Reason 1938423987492 why i love Disney so much!

  1. Aight, so here is the DL on your post you have made for your type class. This is pretty cool, and I have to admit, it looks very aged, and cool. The design of the Y circling around special though reminds me of something a child would do, but that's what the artist was trying to portray. I do agree though that Disneyland has branded their type face and it is always recognisable now as the "DISNEY" font. And that is reason number 1 out of 500,000,000 of why Disney was a racist :)
